Obamability
This is a one page summary of Sen. Obama's disability plan.
Sen. Obama cares about the plight of people with disabilities. We may actually have a president who supports and finances human service programs such as OVR rather than cuts them. I have thoroughly read the "Plan to Empower Americans with Disabilities." Not many people want to read 10 pages so I summarized it into a simple 1 page flyer. I am sending it to people throughout the country (prior to their primaries) in order to inform them. My flyer only goes to agencies and people connected to agencies for disability. I would love help sharing this flyer with others. Once Barak becomes the Democrartic Candidate, I'd like to travel throughout the country educating people with disabilities on his plan. If you want to learn more, please contact me at Swheels [at] verizon.net
I also have a small program called "Infobility: Sharing information onm disability issues." This is a free service that helps people in the folowing areas: advocacy, information and referral, life skills, employment, and community. What makes my program unique is that the only requirements for it are that you are motivated to help yourself - empowerment is everything.
I will give you some options and direction, it is up to you to decide what to do with the tools. I accept anyone regardless of age, disability, income, issue, or reidence. I have a website for this program, but it will be updated soon. It's http://www.infobility.net or you may reach me sat swheels [at] verizon.net
