M19 - Act Against Torture Arrests, and Black Bloc Arrestees at Bechtel Later

by dave id (realtime via e-mail)
Black bloc arrestees @ bechtel, after AAW arrests below.

A black bloc participant reported that a group of 15-20 black bloc-ers were marching on San Francisco sidewalks throughout the day, tailed by at least as many police, half of the cops on dirt bikes. He said that as the group approached Bechtel headquarters the dirt bike cops rode onto the sidewalk into the crowd, nearly hitting a few of them, then two in the group were yanked at random for arrest. Word got out that there were arrests at Bechtel and more people began to arrive to witness the arrestees being taken away before the crowd dispersed.
