Panel: Microwave Radiation: The Shadow Side of the Wireless Revolution
Could cell phone signals and other wireless waves be harmful to our health?

Shadow Side of the Wireless Revolution

Cindy Sage, Co-facilitator, Collaborative for Health and the Environment
David Carpenter, M.D., Professor of Environmental Health Sciences; Director of the Institute for Health and the Environment, School of Public Health, University of Albany
Magda Havas, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Environmental and Resource Studies, Trent University
Camilla Rees, CEO, Wide Angle Health

The European Environmental Agency has called for immediate action to reduce exposure to radiation from Wi-Fi, mobile telephones and their masts, believing that delay could lead to a health crisis on par with the health side-effects of asbestos, lead poisoning and smoking. Despite this, cities in the United States and around the world are attempting to go "all wireless." This panel of leading experts will discuss what is known about the biological effects of microwave radiation and its possible links with various illnesses.
