emergency sjp action in response to israeli government atrocity
the killings being committed right now in gaza are
unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!!! the daunting words of israeli deputiy
defense minister matan vilnai are coming true, as a holocaust is
bloodying the mediterranean sea under OUR WATCH. Hundreds of innocent
civilians are being gunned down and bombed in their homes and cities,
and we can not sit back and let this happen.
it is time for us--as students who work hard to acknowledge our
privilege and EXPRESS our OUTRAGE about these massacres and war
crimes that are allowed to pass without any international response.
we can not wait for politicians to wait for other politicians to stop
this. we need your help and solidarity immediately.
we can't let them silence us; the story of the palestinians
has always been frustrating and angering, but the outrageous rate of
these killings is WORTH MAKING NOISE ABOUT AS SOON AS WE CAN.
don't trip, i have midterms and papers too, everyone is stressed and
one hour of reflection and action will not deter your studies! please
come out!
we need hundreds, but tens and tens of you works too. PLEASE COME OUT
TO THIS EMERGENCY DIE IN. we all have class, we all have clubs, but
at some point we all cared enough to at least sign our name on this
list.
we need you to come between the hours of 11-1 on SPROUL to simply lie
down and pretend for an hour or half an hour that you were
unfortunate enough to be born Gazan or born palestinian and born
under constant human rights violations and assault where NO MORAL
STANDARDS are imposed on your oppressor.
11-1: come lie down with us, pass out fliers and express your outrage
and concern.
PLEASE COME THROUGH AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT. THIS IS OUR UNIVERSITY AND
WE CAN NOT TAKE THIS QUIETLY.
