Sea Shepherd activists confronting the Japanese whaling factory ship, Nisshin Maru in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary.
3 March 2008 – The Sea Shepherd ship Steve Irwin locates and pursues the Japanese processing ship Nisshin Maru. Pulling alongside, crew members toss stink bombs aboard the whaling vessel. The Steve Irwin continues its encounter with the Nisshin Maru. An armed Japanese coast guard officer is seen, along with a short interview with Captain Paul Watson, and finally shots of the Nisshin Maru shooting a water cannon at the Steve Irwin.
