10th EarthVision International Environmental Film Festival
EarthVision International Environmental Film Festival will be hosting our tenth year of bringing inspiring films to Santa Cruz March 1 - 8, 2008. We will be screening films from 13 countries including 7 locally produced here in the Monterey Bay area. 22 Filmmakers, and even some Film Stars, will be at the Festival! They will be coming and going throughout the week so some will be at the opening reception and others will be at our Producer's Gala, but all of them will be present at their film screening.
We have included the list below of just who will be here.
More exciting festival news is that we have two world premiers - Mark Shelley's Strange Days on Planet Earth: Most Dangerous Catch and Hannu Hyvonen's Last Yoik of Saami Forests? In addition, the Swinomish Tribe's March Point has been picked up by PBS. Every one is bound to fall in love with Cody, Nick and Travis's story. See it at one of our two after school Youth Screenings. And finally, Peter Weiss, the Singing Scientist, will entertain during the intermission for our Kid's Power Hour screening with his Environmental Music and Science Education.
We hope you can make it to the festival!
