New Tree Sit Under 24 Hour Surveillance
Updates on the new tree-sit
The new tree sit on the UC Berkeley Campus has already gotten rough. Earlier in the day a ground support was arrested for giving water to the tree-sit. as of 9:30pm an officer was seen posted at the base of the tree, most likely there will be a 24 hour watch to prevent food and water from going up.
Stay tuned for more!
This most recent protest seeks to democratize the UC regents which is currently an appointed only position by the Governator himself. This leads to the "Old Boys Club" that we know now.

I haven't been able to visit Berkeley, but from the photo it looked like that tree was by Strawberry creek across from Sproul Hall. Some of the secretaries in there might be able to watch it from their windows anyway, perhaps with vision obscured by other foliage.
If you go to the big gate at the end of Sproul Plaza and look around on the other side of the gate you can't miss it. The banner's huge.
