Sacto. 2nd annual Food not Bombs benefit POSTPONED - do to bad weather predictions
TOMORROWS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED!
There have been major changes in the weather recently, including a HUMONGOUS fucking storm taking place tomorrow afternoon, at the same time that our OUTDOORS show was going to take place. the forecast has been consistently saying that it would possibly rain Saturday the last couple of days, but we have just been made aware of the major storm that is hitting (similar to the one in January, uprooted trees, heavy rain, etc.), and we just could not let this show continue under those conditions. it would not be fair to anyone involved, especially the bands and groups tabling that would be traveling from out of town.
The event is officially being "postponed", and we'll continue our search for a venue that we could have the event at regardless of the weather.
We'd like to apologize for this major inconvenience, we know many people, including ourselves, that have put much work into this event, taking off time from jobs and making dozens and dozens of phone calls/emails to make this happen.
we want to thank everyone that has put in time and energy to make this work.
Sincerely,
Sacramento Food Not Bombs
