No Economic Analysis linked to Candlestick Point and City fails to monitor Rogue Lennar Co
San Francisco mandates an Economic Analysis linked to any Major Project - but there is NO such Economic Analysis linked to Candlestick Point. The area will be impacted by a proposed major Causeway - from Highway 101 across Yosemite Slough - to Hunters Point along Cargo Way all the way connecting to Third Street. Forty story buildings are contemplated on land prone to liquefaction. Soccer fields on land that once was a Garbage Dump - other land surrounded by Depleted Uranium. No mention of Cumulative Pollution and less Health and Safety concerns. Read on.
I was at the San Francisco Planning Commission and on the agenda and linked to the SF Planning Commission budget - the proposed Candlestick Mix-Used Development Project.
Now, one must remember there are two Initiatives and both will make it to the Ballot.
There will be more fireworks - in November, 2008 - but under NO circumstances will Lennar be permitted to develop one square inch - outside Parcel A - that is a glaring fiasco.
Candlestick Point consists of a State Park and much of that land was a former Garbage Dump. It still has problems with pollution and naturally occurring - methane gas.
Candlestick Park also know as Monster Park is a mess.
There is an agreement with the SF Recreation and Park - and the vested interests - think nothing of breaking the agreement, terminating the LEASE - and tearing the Stadium to build - homes.
The proposed other Stadium is proposed to be built - stark middle on a Superfund Site that still has NOT been conveyed or transferred. The land still belongs to the United States Navy and it is dirty and has radiological elements.
So far only one Parcel - Parcel A - has been transferred to SF Redevelopment Agency (SFRA) who is turn transferred it to Lennar BVHP LLC to develop.
The Disposition and Development Agreement has been broken so many times - that Lennar BVHP LLC is in DEFAULT on most matters linked with Parcel A.
The Dust Mitigation Plant linked to Parcel A has not been adhered to. Another nail in the coffin of Lennar that lies there dead - and no one has the guts to kick this Rogue Company - out of San Francisco, the Bay Area and into oblivion.
Lennar's Stocks have been reduced to Triple A Status - meaning worst then crap or worthless Junk Bonds. No decent bank will loan Lennar any money. I hope the State does not - too.
Linked to the recent: The Bayview Jobs, Parks, and Housing Initiative - Lennar spend over $1 million and if the Initiative is passed - it will spend three times that amount - just to gain possession of the land.
It will not build homes - but divide the land and sell it to other developers. It is called Land Banking and Rogue and Crooks use this method to make fast money.
Catellus Corporation did that at Mission Bay - once Public Trust Land that belonged to the people.
Lennar has nothing left fiscally speaking - but has put all its eggs in one basket and wants to win big time - and take control of Candlestick Point.
Lennar will fail - and you heard it here - for the every first time.
LENNAR WILL LOSE BIG TIME AND THE TIME IS NOW FOR LENNAR TO GET OUT AND GET OUT QUICKLY.
Lennar did not expect a group of grassroots folks - decent and poor but high on integrity to take on the Rogue Company.
In 10 days we collected over 11,800 signatures and we are in the process of validating the signatures. We already got a certificate that our Raw Counts amounted to 11,811. That is a fact.
But, for some reason the SF Department of Election has been involving us in the Count in a manner that does not speak well of the the SF Department of Elections. That section of the SF Department of Election has has jurisdiction of the Validation and Counting the Signatures.
For the Raw Count we were given fifteen minutes notice and since I was at City Hall and one of the main proponent - I went with the flow.
For our Validating of signatures - a process that is complicated - a certain percentage of the signatures are validated and if about 300 of the 600 or so come in correct - the SF Department of Election - agrees to place our Initiative on the Ballot.
Our process has been taking ages - we were called on Wednesday, Feb 20, 2008 only to be told to come on Thursday, Feb 21, 2008.
Jim Queen and myself spent the whole day - we are the two proponents and were joined for some time by Bishop Ernest Jackson. We needed a little Blessing to make the process Kosher. To neutralize the many devils - involved in this process of sorts.
Today, we are told - the results will be out - if NOT Monday. Well, we will see.
The cap on the amount of signatures to be submitted about 7, 200. We submitted 11,811 - out of all these signatures about 600 were chosen to be validated. This happened yesterday - but there is something happening - that is NOT kosher.
May be the Pacific Heights Mafia is exercising their influence. Or may be Room 200.
Lennar sent an Observer - not one of the proponents or a resident of Bayview - but a paid Attorney.
As you know they have spent $1 million plus on this Initiative - every thug, crook, scum bag, they can find to do their dirty work has been hired.
Leading the charge for Lennar one Sam Singer - the man who has been behind much of the nonsense in San Francisco and paid by Lennar BVHP LLC and the other Lennar entities to do its dirty job.
Let us make one thing very clear - much before many entities like POWER, the Nation of Islam, the Community Based Organization in the Mission, the Green Party - joined some of us who were fighting for the children and against Lennar BVHP LLC - Sam Singer was no where to be found or heard off.
So, he joins Lennar around the year 2000 and the first thing he does is divide the community with blood money. It is strange how the Pacific Height Mafia and Sam Singer love blood money.
The entities that have joined us are decent but not Sam Singer and his paid thugs.
They have no MORAL COMPASS and will sell their mothers for a dime and not blink an eye.
The Nation of Islam has stood tall and done the Right thing for the Hunters Point Bayview community.
We cannot say that of the Catholic Church or for that matter the many Jews that make so much money off poor people in the Bayview and want to make more - and back Lennar.
Let us see - who wins in the end. This fight for justice is not going to be easy - but with God on our side - we will win - even though we have to make many sacrifices.
Once again I want to thank the many supporters - who braved the inclement weather - to collect the signatures and helped us submit over 11,800 signatures to the SF Department of Elections.

Why did you delete my post? Please don't bother with the tired excuse that you just "hid" it. NO, you deleted it.
That is censorship.
You must have noticed that this "author" writes the same crap every day. EVERY DAY. And yet, you allow it to be posted, over and over, even though nothing he says is different from the last four thousand times he's posted it.

because this is not adding anything new to the conversation either: "The same column....again. Do you use a template?"
Since Mr Da Costa has not added anything to his pieces for the last several months, why do you bring it up?
My point is that the author writes the same piece every day, Indymedia allows it to be posted every time, even though it says nothing and provides no new information.
It's tired. We all know what Mr Da Costa feels about the changes in his neighborhood. He's written about it...over and over and over. We've all seen his columns every day, for months.
What I am saying is that whenever I or anyone else brings this up, we are banned. Why? I simplhy want to know why he can get away with this crap daily and when we MENTION it we are banned.

Ooops...sounds like Mr. Da Costa has answered some folks. I am discovering his articles and they are somewhat refreshing especially if they speak to the truth. Can somewhat tell me what the controversy is all about?
First and foremost, THANK YOU FRANCISCO DA COSTA FOR YOUR NEWS UPDATES ON THE SF ELECTION FRAUD DEPARTMENT AND THE NEEDS AND INTERESTS OF THE WORKINGCLASS OF SAN FRANCISCO, especially the ethnic cleansing and gentrification occurring in the predominately workingclass, African-American community of Bayview Hunters Point.
Second, EVERYONE, especially, EVERY SAN FRANCISCO RESIDENT, needs to get on the phone this weekend and leave a voicemail for all 11 supervisors and/or send an Email or fax to all 11 supervisors demanding that this outstanding voters' petition for affordable housing be put on the June ballot as there are definitely sufficient valid signatures for it to be put on the ballot and the SF ELECTION FRAUD DEPARTMENT, in cooperation with ELECTION FRAUD NAZI NEWSOM and his DEMOCRATIC-REPUBLICAN PARTY ELECTION FRAUD MACHINE are again trying to deny a voter's petition from being put on the ballot, although we have sufficient valid signatures. They did this just before the November 2007 mayor's race, when we had sufficient signatures for a charter amendment (a higher threshold required than this one) so they got their favorite errand boy, Democratic City Attorney Dennis Herrera to come up with a ridiculous excuse that the petition did not have reams of paper attached to it "explaining" the petition, which is utter nonsense. The fight regarding that one was affordable housing in Bayview Hunters Point, and this petition concerns the same area and need. If you are unaware, this is the petition that Supervisor Chris Daly was the primary supervisor supporting this petition and will require 50% affordable housing be built in Bayview Hunters Point for the current proposed project, if any housing is to be built at all.
