Don't call Greens "Tree Huggers"... "Call them Right!"
This following e-mail was received by supporters of Green Party Presidential Candidate Cynthia McKinney just moments ago.

News from the Carnegie Institution's Department of Global Ecology informs us that we need to kick the carbon habit--and we need to kick it now! According to the press release announcing the new study of what level of carbon dioxide emissions would be needed to prevent further warming of the planet: "[H]alfway measures won't do the job. To stabilize our planet's climate, we need to find ways to kick the carbon habit altogether." According to one of the report's authors, Climate Scientist Ken Caldeira, "We can develop and deploy wind turbines, electric cars, and so on, and live well without damaging the environment. The future can be better than the present, but we have to take steps to start kicking the CO2 habit now, so we won't need to go cold turkey later."
It is clear that each of us needs to implement lifestyle changes now that reduce our carbon footprint. It is also imperative that our government take steps immediately to do on a national and global level what we cannot do. I think it's clear that the only responsible lifestyle is a sustainable, green one and every aspect of our national life must be retooled so that we all can live green. There was a time when Greens were maligned as "Tree Huggers." Now, they are just called right! I applaud the folks who have been working on sustainability for years and who encourage us now. Coal, gas, oil, and atomic energy is destroying the planets livability, and therefore the last forty-four years of ecological green revolution has brought into being the hi-tech tools to put in place wind, tidal, and solar power which translates to electricity and is more power than can be used by society. No more blackouts. This non-pollution solution is given freely in natures kinder laws and provides work for all and forever more. Viva social liberation. End pollution wars, not endless wars for more pollution.
Or as the American first divers would say, Don't throw the baby out with the dishwater. Ecology being a new science, the answers have not been fully politicized yet so welcome. You are doing the politically correct thing, but beware because when you run on the bosses platform they have been known to be themselves, killing life for money as profits. It is very hard to show them a new correct way, and their liable to resort to the themselves, and they are know to throw the baby out with the dishwaters.
However, as the anti-war movement knows, should they continue polluting the planet beyond sustainability, they will also die along with all the rest of us together as a species and all the plants and animals too. It is their practice that is at fault here and they are losing the battle on all fronts, and ending their right to rule all law making, because its their laws that are destroying the planets life. Bon Chance to Cynthia, green power is the path to liberation globally as well as locally.
