Nation Joins State Senate Race in Blow to Migden

by Randy Shaw via Beyond Chron
Monday, February 11, 2008 : Former Marin County Assemblymember Joe Nation announced Saturday that he is joining Mark Leno and Joe Alioto Veronese in the State Senate race against Carole Migden. Nation’s entry makes him the only Marin-based candidate in the contest, and immediately weakens Migden’s base in that county. Internal polls have shown Migden holding an edge in name recognition in Marin over her other competitors, but now Nation is likely to take votes from the incumbent in that county.
