Join us at Moe's Books in Berkeley this Wednesday for a great evening with Penny Rimbaud and Louise Elliot. Rimbaud is a writer, performer, and cofounder (with Steve Ignorant) of UK anarchist punk band, Crass. He'll be reading some of his latest poetry, accompanied by Australian saxophonist, Louise Elliott.
Here's a little review of a recent performance in New York:
"The crowning point was on this day when Crass-founder and polemicist Penny Rimbaud arrived to perform. Accompanied by noted Australian jazz sax/flutist Louise Elliott, this combo is the current incarnation of an ongoing post-Crass project called Last Amendment. While Louise blew, Penny read four pieces. All addressed the perfidy of the terror war, and the last—'Methinks'—was a particularly searing attack on the purveyors, likening Bush and Bin Laden to Cain and Abel." (Punkcast #1065)
Among his many accomplishments, Penny Rimbaud is the author of Diamond Signature and Shibboleth: My Revolting Life.
