Obama Launches Bay Area Campaign Office

Tuesday, January 15, 2008 : PALO ALTO – To win him more support in the Feb. 5 California primary, Sen.Barack Obama set up a campaign office Jan. 13 here in the Silicon Valley , according to the Sing Tao Daily. The opening celebration was organized by Jingyu Hu, a Chinese IT engineer. Representatives from the Chinese community said Obama was a powerful leader who had the support of young people.

However, Hillary Clinton’s campaign team, which set up their campaign office in the Bay Area last July, didn't think Obama was a threat to Clinton, at least not in the Bay Area.
