Come learn about the clearcutting that threatens Sierra Nevada’s forests! Tens of thousands of acres have been clearcut and converted to tree plantations by logging giant Sierra Pacific Industries (SPI). Within this century SPI plans to clearcut roughly a million more acres, an area roughly the size of one and a half Yosemite National Parks!

ForestEthics is teaming up with the Loma Prieta Chapter to stop this clearcutting through market campaigning. Come to a presentation by Josh Buswell-Charkow, ForestEthics Campaign Organizer, to learn more about what is at stake, why clearcutting is so destructive, and how the “Save the Sierra” campaign, and most importantly YOU, can help to stop clearcutting the Sierra

Light refreshments will be served. For more information and to RSVP (so we know how much food to bring), please contact Bill Young at 650-390-8494, or bill.young [at] sierraclub.org
