Stem cell research has been a contentious issue on both the national and international front. While California's 2004 Proposition 71 Stem Cell Research Initiative was officially opposed by state Greens, there is little unanimity on the topic within the Green party. Come hear a stimulating presentation with medical sociologist, Diane Beeson, and historian of bioethics & biotechnology, Tina Stevens, regarding what biotechnological developments portend for our human future.
