Richmond Mobilizes To Halt Chevron Expansion
On Saturday, November 10th, hundreds of environmental justice activists marched on Chevron's Richmond Refinery to oppose Chevron's proposal to process dirtier, sulfur-heavy oils in Richmond. Community activists from the West County Toxics Coalition, GreenAction for Health and Environmental Justice, Communities for a Better Environment, Richmond Environmental Health & Justice Leadership Academy, Community Healthy Initiative, Richmond Greens and ANSWER came together for a march and rally which brought voices against environmental racism, war and social injustice.
