Come by and support the tree sitters! (UCSC Science hill)
Come show your support for the tree sitters currently occupying redwoods at UCSC in opposition to the LRDP and its first project, the biomedical facility.
Come hang out and discuss the LRDP and get involved.
If you'd like, just bring by some snacks, water, non perishable foods, support letters anytime. Also, Tarps, Raingear and non perishable food donations would be of great help, bring 'em by if you got 'em.

Here is probably the optimum site to build, below the soccer field. http://tinyurl.com/26og9x
It's already impacted and has sparse parking lots.
It isn't quite acceptable to passive aggressively cap enrollment and let the free-market exclude a whole bunch of students who would have been academically eligible in previous years. I don't care about the complaints of the 'locals' in Santa Cruz who are rapidly being priced out of this market, if they don't care about free-market effects on others. Build some apartments.

What do you people have against grassland ecosystems? Have you not seen the endangered peregrine falcons that need these areas to hunt. I respect the redwood forest ecosystems, respect the grasslands!!!
Ok, so expansion of ANY kind is unsustainable, because even with zero population and "economic" growth this socioeconomic situation is totally environentally unsustainable.
That being said, the population IS growing, and the capitalists are expanding their "free" markets...
so why not build UC up in Watsonville, where it will actually benefit disprivileged students of color, where rent is affordable. (unless they try to gentrify that too)
but realistically, the uc isnt interested in students of color in disprivileged communities. they don't fit their demographic target for their silicon valley revolution (in immoral self destructive "scientific" meddling)
Oh well, nanotech will make everything grey goo, right?
