The United States has been at war with Afghanistan for six
years, in Iraq for four years, and now the government is
on the verge of attacking Iran. It is time to come
together and talk about war, about how the struggles we
face here on campus, for example the battle for ethnic
studies and the campaign to end the Long Range Development
Plan, relate to the wars being waged abroad.

Students Against War is hosting a TEACH-IN called You, the
UC and War. The teach-in will be a dynamic space for
people to become informed and share ideas through
presentations, poetry, and breakout group discussions.

The teach-in will include speakers on topics ranging from
the UC and the Bomb to GI resistance during wartime to the
possible war in Iran.

It will take place on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 8th, in KRESGE
TOWN HALL at 7 pm.

Come and retrain your brain!

On WEDNESEDAY, NOVEMBER 7th at 11am at the QUARRY PLAZA
there will be a Rally and March to defend our campus from
the Long Range Development Plan. There will be tables and
speakers sharing information about the plans to expand our
University without any meaningful student consent and the
impact the LRDP will have on students, campus ecology,
workers and the larger Santa Cruz community.

So reclaim your education! Come to these events and make
the University a place for knowledge and learning, rather
than militarism and profit!
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
