WAR, POVERTY, OPPRESSION - BUILDING A REVOLUTIONARY ALTERNATIVE
Join activists from all over Northern California for a day of education, discussion and debate. Participate in conversations that look beyond the 2008 elections and develop strategies for lasting change.
Evening Panel - "Rebuilding the Left" featuring:
CINDY SHEEHAN - Gold Star mother against the war, running for Congress against Nancy Pelosi.
TOUFIC HADDAD - Palestinian activist and author
RENEE SAUCEDO - Immigrant rights activist and lawyer
BARBARA BECNEL - Activist, and advocate for Stan Tookie Williams, who was executed by the State of California in 2005. National Board Member of Campaign to End the Death Penalty
JESSIE MULDOON - teacher in Oakland and member of the International Socialist Org.

9am registration.
Workshops: 10am to 5:30pm
Evening plenary at 6pm
$20 to $50 sliding scale, Students $10
