Xile and Xocolate. This concert will reunite two fabulous vocalists playing with two distinct flavors of sound. Worlds apart and yet at the same table; Ethiopian-born Meklit Hadero with her gorgeous wispering melody will sing her own compositions about justice for her people and the all encompassing power of intimate love! Then Mexican-born MamaCoatl with her passion and her spice will have us travel from border to border, crossing the line, crumbling walls and redesigning paradigms in bolero, blues and funk ranchero. On the instruments: Panxo Ferrer Y Alfredo Gomez guitarists extraordinaire; Jessy Hix, up-right bass and Garsha Shabankhani on cajon.
