October 13th & 14th in SF, join left coast tech activists & community members for 2 days of skill sharing, speed geeking & radical media.

Workshop and panel topics include: DIY websites, peer 2 peer, audio and video streaming, pirate radio, net privacy, design principles, drupal, linux install fest, gender, race and technology, crabgrass, knit hacking, north/south tech solidarity and more... See the website for our full schedule.

Brought to you by the Mad Penguins, a network of west coast hacktivist groups, the Hackmeet will be happening in coordination with simultaneous hackmeetings in Guernica, Spain, and other cities around the world.

The hackmeeting is setup as an "unconference", meaning you're welcome to sign up on the spot to lead a workshop during any of our open slots. We'll also have some speedgeeking sessions for quick 15-minute workshops.
