Some of the factors that go into an Economic Analysis for the Bayview Hunters Point
Over $200 million leaches out of the Bayview Hunters Point. A disparity has been created between those that live in Public Housing and home owners. There is NOT one single good Supermarket and the Public Transportation System is a utter failure in the Bayview Hunters Point. Add to that pollution - with over 450 toxic hot spots, the bombardment of toxic dust and Asbestos from Parcel A and Lennar BVHP LLC. This City and County of San Francisco - now has totally failed in its mission to uphold Health and Safety mandates and compromised on Quality of Life issues. Our children are dying and NO one is doing anything. Why?
Large areas as much as 2568 acres directly and indirectly will be impacted by San Francisco City Planning that has failed to first evaluate and bring forth - an Economic Analysis of the entire Bayview Hunters Point, Visitation Valley and areas such as India Basic and China Basin.
There are over 450 toxic hot spots that this area and the City is mandated to Clean Up or Abate - but this City for years has chosen to use Brown Fields - to cap them and build homes over them. This is totally wrong.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) a Federal Agency and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) have given the area around Third Street - an F as far as air quality is concerned. The air quality all over Bayview Hunters Point is poor.
Million of vehicles ply on the corridors - mostly heavy duty trucks that spew the worst types of particulates. Add to that the Dry Cleaners, the Concrete Company, the many other small business that use chemicals - and you have a cesspool.
The last time any empirical data was collected and evaluated in the Bayview Hunters Point was 1991.
Some of us shut down the Hunters Point Power Plant but we do not go on the roof and shout out.
We did this by sitting with Pacific Gas and Electric, at the California Public Utilities Commission, the California Energy Commission, the California Independent Systems Operator and making good stuff happen.
The real heroes never want praise. We care for our children, elders, and other community members. We do not take money from the City and County of San Francisco.
After all we did - now, we have the City and County of San Francisco - Mayor Gavin Newsom, Jessie Blout, Sophie Maxwell, Susan Leal, Barbara Hale, Karen Kubic and others - who want to place three Combustion Turbines (CTs) with very old technology - in the Bayview Area.
These CTs will emit particulates too tiny and very harmful - much more harmful than the particulates that the old PG&E power plant spewed into the air. The system will be cooled by using treated sewage - this will cause pathogens to be spewed into the air.
An Economic Analysis will reveal these factors and an Environmental Impact Report will go further into the toxicity that is around Yosemite Slough - saturated with Lead, Mercury, PCBs, a real cesspool.
Folks like Arc Ecology are calling this area around Yosemite Slough - another Crissy Field and are getting millions of dollars but doing nothing.
The only people that know anything about genuine wet lands are the First People the others want the money - and use wet lands to fill their coffers. Arc Ecology and Saul Bloom aka David Saleman is one of them. Go figure?
The City is encouraging Arc Ecology that is a utter failure and has been leaching on the poor community in the Bayview Hunters Point.
Jessie Blout, Marcia Rosen, Michael Cohen - know about Arc Ecology and the time has come to send them packing.
The millions given to Arc Ecology could be used to evaluated the area and formulate a sound plan with a through Economy Analysis.
The thousands of miles of sewer pipes and the thousands of miles of clean water pipes need replacement. This has not been done. Many of the leaks are in the Bayview Area - and every day millions of gallons of clean water - are seeping into the ground and elsewhere.
The Phelps Raw Sewage Plant must be removed totally from the Bayview - it is in the middle of a Residential Area.
Mosquitoes and other foul smell have been a curse to the residents for years in and around Phelps and the Bayview.
But, Susan Leal does not want to do anything about it. Because of the adverse impacts to the Residents - the residents should not have to pay for the sewage and the water.
In any other State the residents could have sued Susan Leal and the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and won millions. In fact some one should now that I have revealed the facts.
What Susan Leal and her inner circle is interested in - is to build a New San Francisco Public Utilities Building on Golden Gate. They are selling SFPUC surplus property for about $22 million by El Camino Real in the South San Francisco - so that they can have the best amenities.
While the residents of the Bayview suffer from the worst pollution and other impacts from the operations of SFPUC. SFPUC that has failed to do the following:
1. Upgrade the Phelps Sewage Plant and stopped the dumping of half treated sewage into the Bay.
2. Continues to spew toxic pollutants in the air from the Phelps Raw Sewage Plant against all State, Local, and Federal rules and regulations. Check the log linked to the stack and the contents of the flares - day in and day out.
3. The old sewer pipes and clean water pipes are leaking and adversely impacting the Environment and the residents.
4. SFPUC is using the Bayview Hunters Point to dump millions of gallons of raw sewage from Daly City, Brisbane, Colma, and Burlingame - collecting money and using it for other purposes - but not investing it in the Bayview Hunters Point.
5. SFPUC is the single most toxic pollutant in the Bayview and has managed to get away with murder. The person responsible is Susan Leal who has been wasting millions and hiring folks based on life styles.
The SF Planning Commission has NO clue that the rezoning is a Master Plan to bring in the worst component of Bio-Tech into the Bayview Hunters Point Area. Mission Bay will be used for the clean stuff and all the pollutants, toxic labs with toxic by products will be dumped into the Bayview Hunters Point.
The over 30,000 units that are in the pipe line that are planned do not have a Business Plan linked to Clean Water and Energy.
The over 30,000 plus units and thousands of other units like the Trans Bay Project - and so on will all send their sewage to the Phelps Raw Sewage Treatment Plant in the Bayview. What does Sophie Maxwell think about this? Does she even have a brain to think about this issue?
Now ask her about Energy issues - and even though she is supposed to be an Electrician she has no clue. Rumor has it that she cannot even fix the lights at Christmas time. The most dumb, inept, ignorant, and very arrogant person in the Bayview and yet she represents.

The Transportation system is a mess. The $700 million Third Light Street Rail is never on time. It ends in the middle of no where in the Visitation Valley. It could have continue by Geneva to the Mission - and made sense. But MUNI loves nonsense and so do the MTA planners.
People walks distances to take the 9 Regular and the 9 Express - any other mode of transportation but the Third Street Light Rail that is a utter failure.

Sophie Maxwell and Mayor Gavin Newsom has targeted small developers like the Residential Builders Association (RBA) and others. Moratorium and asking them to build affordable housing and set aside 64% percent aside as affordable housing is a joke.
Lennar and other have been paying her off and she knows she - but everything will come to a halt very soon. Good times are a coming to those that have been shafted for too, too long!
Why does not the City in the Bayview Hunters Point and District 10 that includes Visitation Valley - build affordable housing - you have all the land in and around all of Public Housing?

MUNI is a mess and even a brand new system like MUNI Third Street Light Rail does not work. Yesterday, I had to wait for 45 minutes for a Third Street Light Rail by Dog Patch. Can any one get to me on this one - it was after 5 p.m.

The Bayview Hunters Point needs a sound Economic Analysis.

As Economy Analysis will zero in on the Educational Facilities and the Hospital facilities.

Get on the ball and provide us with an Economy Analysis as soon as possible.
If not time to go to Court and sue this City and County of San Francisco. Remember, we have a case in court linked to the 33,200 that demanded the issue of the SF Redevelopment and Bayview Hunters Point be put on a Ballot.
This issue is also linked to Rezoning and other issues linked to faulty planning.
