MULTI-RELIGIOUS PRAYER SERVICE at United Nations Plaza (6:00pm - 8:00pm)

Hundreds of thousands of peaceful people led by Buddhist Monks cry out for an end to a longstanding military dictatorship. Holding Sassana flags and reciting prayers of love on the street is a crime in Burma punishable by beating and death. Monasteries were raided at night, residences vandalized, over 700 hundred arrested, many monks disrobed, beaten, humiliated, tortured, and killed.

The people of Burma have been silenced through military control, but they have not stopped their protest. Many people are still taking to the streets, but beaten, shot and killed.

Come to the protest & meditation to urge China, Burmese military’s biggest supporter, to step in and help resolve the situation peacefully!!!
