Bay Area Protest Demand "Free the Jena 6!"

by Felix Barrett (revolution.sfbureau [at] gmail.com)
On September 20, as 60,000 people converged on Jena Louisiana from all over the US to demand freedom for the Jena 6, thousands also demonstrated throughout the Bay Area. Over 1,000 held a spirited rally at UC Berkeley which was joined by scores of students from Berkeley High who had walked out of school. About 300 students then marched around the Berkeley campus. Berkeley High students who were at the Cal rally returned to their school and "broke out" over 100 more students to take a stand for justice. In San Francisco, About 200 people rallied and marched around the Union Square area.

Really good to see people of all race outraged at the San Francisco rally. Nooses are not a joke.
Racism is murder and exploitation, and it must end. All of us need to be out demanding our freedoms together. This administration has made dangerous inroads into our rights, suspending habeus corpus, creating detention camps for illegal immigrants, and jailing our youth. This insanity must stop. And it is gratifying that we have a place (your website) to see our efforts to break free visible to all as we struggle with the choke hold apathy currently has on us due to corporations crooning our outrage to sleep with sleek ads that sell a dream of an unattainable life, a cult of consumerism that has our spirits sucked dry.

I used to be part of this ethnic hustler movement when I was a college student. Today I no longer share their view. I see them as another 60's type of radicalize far leftwing anarchist ethnic pimp. That's who they are. I saw them destorying free speech in columbia university. I see them supporting the reverse racism. In this case of Louisiana conflicst, I see the hypocrisy of the black and these ethnic hustler claiming of the racial injustice is not 100% true. There
is the other side I did not hear it. Although I do agree that America is still white racist society,
I don't agree with Jean 6 innocency. One white guy were beaten and hospitalized by 6 blacks
and you tellling me they are innocents? Gimme a break! I don't know the exact how much the damage has done but there is no doubt those Jena 6 must face the trial.
