Machinations at Bayview Hunters Point with Housing Projects and other housing

by Francisco Da Costa
It is always fascinating to watch how sell outs and crooks leach on the community when it comes to Housing and other such Quality of Life issues. And, when these leaches do it to Black folks and minorities and screw them - over and over again - it is a cry to heaven and justice. It is no worse then Black on Black violence only of another type. Some of these crooks think I am not fully aware of their machinations. Well.
AIMCO and for that matter any Property Management the likes of John Stewart are dubious in nature. They have never, ever helped the community at large and especially poor people. They have never helped Bayview Hunters Point.

I know folks that live in La Salle, Shoreview, All Hollows, Bayview all subsidized housing. Most of the folks keep their homes clean and it does not mean that being poor people is low class.

You do have White Thrash and you have others that live filthy - but most folks at Bayview Hunters Point keep clean homes. They have been keeping clean homes.

The fungi and other dangerous molds that adversely impact these folks is because of poor quality material that went into building these homes. Also, the very toxic air from the Power plants and the near by Superfund site.

And, when it comes to Public Housing the Navy did not build them to last forever - that type of housing has long passed its use and all of Public Housing must be torn down and new better housing with Open Space and family facilities built - child care, libraries, and other recreational facilities. Just like the ones most White folks enjoy at tax payers expense.

AIMCO has hired consultants the like of John Scott and Keith Jackson - they do not live in the community but they sure make their money here.

They may work for AIMCO but they sure work against the community.

AIMCO used every tactic to get $73 million to rehabilitate the four subsidized housing projects - All Hollows, Bayview, La Salle, and Shoreview and have been doing it bad. Hiring cheap labor and not paying them. Breaking State and Federal laws in the bargain.

Now Kelvin Hayes, John Scott, and Keith Jackson may or not know about this - but if they represent the company and have the better interests of the community - these Black consultants better get their act together. That involves Gary Banks who is in this mess too.

I was in Sacramento when the bad representation was going on and stated the facts before the authorities. I hope some of the above remember that and remember it well.

The Bayview Hunters Point community keeps getting shafted by dubious characters. One, has just to do the investigating and you will find out - how deep the cesspool is.

AIMCO has failed the community and was fined by the City and County of San Francisco, some $3 million. AIMCO should get out of the community - now.

The same with John Stewart who had a bad history with Geneva Towers.

And now want more of the piece of the pie but always with minorities and housing where he pulls the strings and uses folks like puppets. He may not agree with what I say - but I do not give a rat ass.

He wants it all at the Presidio of San Francisco, Treasure Island, the Tenderloin SROs, Bayview Hunters Point and more - always, more. Why are there not more Property Mangers that are Minorities and Black? Find out - do your research - anyone trying to enter, how ever qualified is kept out.

We have a MOVEMENT and we will check mate when the right moment arrives.

The media tries to say something - some rants - rather diplomatic. What ever the focus on Bayview Hunters Point - folks without any concern for the actual community at ground zero want to make money. Well, you can make money but will you be able to enjoy it?

We cannot keep screwing our folks all the time. Consultants to AIMCO and the Project Area Committee? Consultant to this, that, and something else without any meaningful dialog? What is happening to the moral compass?

And, now Black Pastors involved in Real Estate and Housing and Making Money? The like of Aurelious Walker.
