HIGH CRIMES AND ATROCITIES
Presented by the filmmaker, Jacob Clapsadle

This honest and hard-hitting documentary reveals the lies of the Bush administration to justify the invasion of Iraq. It is a clear indictment of fraud on Congress and the American people by the neo-conservatives in power today. It presents hard evidence of specific crimes such as Bush's lies to the American public, violations of civil liberties, and abuse of prisoners. The Bush administration's lies and its illegal war, torture, warrantless wiretapping, and shameless disregard of the Constitution are just a few horrific items on a list of crimes and atrocities that grows longer every day.

But this film, while heart breaking, is inspiring and encouraging too. It shows the actions and progress of the impeachment movement nationwide, including the struggles of public figures such as Joe Wilson and John Conyers as well as actions of everyday citizens who are spreading the word. Even as our representatives in Congress acquiesce, the grassroots movement toward impeachment is constantly gaining strength. This film contrasts the cold and depressing reality of the criminals in the White House with the inspirational and vibrant spirit of everyday people. The filmmaker, Jacob Clapsadle, will be present this evening to discuss his film with the audience. He will show a couple of other short films as well.

Before and after the films everybody's invited to indulge in our Humanist Tea House.
