WHY :
Imagine mobilizing 1000 drummers to show up at critical mass events, about Police Brutality, to end the Racist Death Penalty, Stop the War at Home and Abroad, stop development and gentrification, Envorinmental toxicity AND THEN SOME.....

We hope that our Native American Sisters and Brothers, true owners of this land, Uhuru and Japanese Reparations, drummers will open the marching of the 1000 Congas Brigade at rallies and protests in the Bay Area, when grassroots organizations are down with our participation.

Empress Chi, mother of the Million Woman March, mobilized 1000 drummers (actually more !), and is about to repeat it at Oct 27 End the War at Home and Abroad in Philly.
This amazing Sister has generously offered her guidance and wisdom to help us make it happen in the Bay Area!

Please let us know if you are interested in joining our planning committee, send us the info on musicians who might be down with this ! Forward Far & wide, Pass on the ...Word Up, Bay Area !

Make hella noise. starting in SF, we will start 2008 with a major Bang4change ! Drum 4 Peace and Justice !

This sure will attract the dumb corporate press, as much as Dykes on Bikes always does.... U go, Womyn !

We can foresee major hurdles with Noise Abatement ordinances, but we can work around it

In a matter of 2 days, the concept is already exciting to many !
