Oakdale Public Housing- atrocities committed upon them by many including Lennar BVHP LLC
City Attorney Dennis Herrera made a bold move, so he thought, when he zeroed in on the Oakdale Housing Project and some youth and imposed on them an Injunction. This is blatant discrimination and the parties involved in this crime - will one day pay for their sins. Including in this dubious plan to depopulate Oakdale Housing Project and the surrounding area by some corrupt officers of the San Francisco Police Department. I know Chief, Heather Fong and she knows that I am not one to open my mouth and blurt some nonsense - unless I am cognizant of the facts.
I have visited the Oakdale Public Housing for many years - over 30 years. In all the time I have visited the Oakdale Public Housing I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly.
The good is mostly the people - who are poor but have much goodness in their heart.
The bad - what I have seen is the poor state of the Public Housing. Once built, many years ago to house the Navy personnel and for a short period - this housing is falling in disrepair and with faulty electricity, poor plumbing, and other poor facilities - life is hard and especially living under these conditions.
The ugly is death. Death sometimes comes to infants and the young. Death because the people who live near the Oakdale Public Housing are daily bombarded by Toxic Dust and Asbestos Structures. From sanitation and dangerous fungi and other such elements that make the poor people - very sick.
The people from the near by Public Housing, also have to deal daily with the near by Superfund Site - where some of the worst types of Radiological Experiments were conducted.
The City and County of San Francisco is the most RACIST city in the Nation.
You would think that the SF Health Department that has a one billion dollar budget would go to Oakdale and help the people - NO.
You would think Mayor Gavin Newsom would go to Oakdale Public Housing and do something for the poor - No.
You would think that Chief, Heather Fong would go to Oakdale Public Housing and do something - NO.
You would think the many so called Environmentalist and other professionals would go to Oakdale Public Housing and do something - well, some has been done.
Dennis Herrera, for reasons that he knows well chose to target Oakdale Public Housing thinking he would not have anyone confront him. I did here on Indymedia.
Damon Hale volunteered his legal services to take on the City and County of San Francisco and defend some youth "baptised the Oakdale Gang" by Dennis Herrera.
Dennis Herrera used the nuisance law that has long been used in Southern California against gangs and brought it to our City the City of Saint Francis and compassion.
Dennis Herrera could have used some of the vast City resources to bring succor to the Oakdale Public Housing but has chosen to destroy families. The SF Police Department has a Gang Task Force and for some reason one police officer stands out - he name is Leonard Broberg.
Some youth from Oakdale told me that one of them saw this officer at the Folsom Street Fair.
So, as youth are prone to do - they hooked up and took some photographs of this police officer wearing leather and having parts of this muscular body exposed. I suppose some areas - were those decent folks cover.
The youth further posted these photographs on the internet. Later I ran a search on Officer Leonard Broberg and learned that is an only gay SF Police Officer.
It is strange that Officer Leonard Broberg was the key police officer to lead the charge and the many incidents that led the San Francisco City Attorney, Dennis Herrera to destroy a community that is hurting and in dire need of help.
The Injunction is dividing families and created a lot of animosity. Families have no idea what an Injunction is and may are very confused. It would be a good idea for both Chief Heather Fong and Dennis Herrera to go to Oakdale Public Housing - have a forum and explain their position.
I have on many occasions taken the MUNI 23 and I go and sit on the steps of the Grace Tabernacle Community Church. I will first pray and then walk where the Spirit leads me.
I am the Director of Environmental Justice Advocacy and I often as part of my investigative reporting have to go to places to check on pollution, large projects, such as the grading and excavation happening at Parcel A adjacent to the Oakdale Public Housing.
Parcel A has a vast vein of Ultramaphic Serpertine Rock that I am sure Officer Leonard Broberg has no knowledge of. For that matter Dennis Herrera has no much knowledge of this Serpertine Rock when crushed it releases Asbestos Friables - very harmful to those that come in contact with these dangerous Asbestos friables.
Dennis Herrera can fight the Mirant Power Plant and is afraid of particulates but gives a damn about the Asbestos Friables. He is afraid of the particulates because he lives on Potrero Hill and is afraid of breathing too many particulates that are harmful to all living beings.
If one stands on top of the road at Ingalls and Oakdale Street you get a clear picture of the Racism and why the Injunction was carried out.
The road on Oakdale Street leads directly in Parcel A where all the grading is going on. Two blocks from Ingalls and Oakdale is the boundary of Parcel A.
The City and County of San Francisco, the SF Redevelopment Agency, Lennar BVHP LLC have all made up their minds to - send all the poor people from Oakdale Public Housing packing.
The evil folks do not want any Blacks - especially living in Public Housing. These scums bags do not want any people of color period. They want the land and they want to gentrify the whole area.
Injunctions are now targeted in other areas - in the Mission District, in the Western Addition, and soon they will target Middle Point and the area around Kiska Road. In the interim I have seen folks take a Survey of the area.
Gentrification is coming and the Public Housing Homes will be bull dozed and the poor folks living in these areas - will be sent packing - some with a little compensation but most of them penniless and with tears in the eyes and a very heavy heart.
I read about a journalist Koopman saying he was embedded with the SF Gang Task Force visiting those that are on probation. This type of cheap sensation in journalism does us no good.
Why is it we have Marcia Rosen, Jesse Blout, Leonard Broberg, a Koopman, a Fisher, a Bloom, a Shorestein - all ganging up against poor people. Can some one bring an Injunction against such scum bags.
Remember, we have poor folks here that should be uplifted. In all the hoods - if you keep the people down - they will do whatever it takes to survive. Any human being will do that.
It is simply wrong for the SF Police Department to waste precious time, money, and resources patrolling the Oakdale Public Housing. While so many crimes are committed all over the City and County of San Francisco.
The SF Police Department is in dire need of resources and equipment. Yet, it continues to waste money in areas where the poor should be left alone from targeted harrassment.
Our SF Police Department (SFPD) does not have credibility when it comes to state of art technology and the Department that deals with Incident Reports cannot process Incidents Report on time. Cannot query a search of crimes meeting deadlines with accuracy.
Our SFPD has Windows 95 on their computers - and has computers that cannot be hooked up to operate the Internet.
Our Health Department has a billion dollar budget - and cannot test TEN CHILDREN from the Oakdale Public Housing for health problems.
The SF Redevelopment Agency has a case against it - in the Appeals Court - 33,200 signatures were collected - and the people did take a stand against SF Redevelopment Agency. Dennis Herrera chose to shoot it down after the SF Department of Elections - certified the signatures.
There have been over 100 Exceedances linked to Asbestos Structures the cap is 16,000 structures.
Hundreds of exceedances linked to Toxic Dust and this is a shame.
Anyone, with a revolver, a pistol, and a firearm with a uniform and without a uniform can intimidate poor folks and that includes youth.
These scum bags are targeting those that are vulnerable.
Why not have an injunction in Pacific Heights where big crime takes place - no murders, but high stakes in white collar crime.
No one is taking care to study Quality of Life issues. Address Cumulate Pollution.
