Saturday, August 25, 8:00 pm. The Rhythm Rangers is a new Sonoma County band made up of veterans of many other Sonoma County bands. The band features: Kevin Russell on guitar and vocals, Dave Zirbel on pedal, lap and standard guitar, Blair Hardman on bass, Rick Cutler on drums and Kirby Pierce on keyboards. The Rangers pulled from the great Americana songbook, mixing Bob Wills style western swing with alt-country sounds reminiscent of Merle Haggard or Johnny Cash, and finishing it off with rockin' blues in the style made famous by blues great’s T-Bone Walker or Willie Dixon. The Rangers are America's Jukebox and their new CD, "Not Out of the Woods Yet", demonstrates their commitment to keeping roots music alive. Solid Air is anchored by the stellar songwriting and singing of Allegra Broughton and Sam Page. Longtime Sonoma County favorites, these guys can often be seen around the county at fairs, clubs & parties in either their thoroughly compelling duo setting or as a full four piece band. The full band will be on hand to celebrate their new CD, "Solid Air: Allegra Broughton & Sam Page." Both band's are featured artists on Doug Jayne's Jackalope Records label. This will be a great event featuring both bands playing music from their new releases. $10 Donation, advance tickets available at The Last Record Store (1899 Mendocino Ave., Santa Rosa: 525-1963,) information and/or reservations call: 707-824-1858
