CBS promotes misogynistic verbal abuse to go on in the Big Brother House
by Marcy Brown

CBS has reached new lows this season in promoting misogynistic tirades in the Big Brother House. The houseguest Evil Dick on CBS’s Big Brother reality show has spent the past few weeks verbally abusing a young woman, Jen Johnson with threats of rape, insults focused on her sexuality and hopes for her death. His abuse has been so severe, that she has asked to drop out of the competition. This weekend Evil Dick he added homophobia to his repertoire.

This season of CBS’s reality show Big Brother has reached a new low in misogyny.
The houseguests have been subjected to the constant angry tirades of one extremely abusive houseguest with anger management problems who calls himself “Evil Dick.”

CBS has done nothing while Evil Dick makes young women the target of his misogynistic tirades.

Sample letter:

Dear CBS,
I am writing to complain that CBS and BB-8 sponsors are supporting misogyny. The violence and abuse directed towards women on this show is unacceptable. This is not a game and this is not entertainment.
I intend to Boycott the BB-8 sponsors.

Legal issues came up with another reality show being filmed for September television release. They took kids age 8-15 to a little village in rural New Mexico, and let them try to organize their own society without adults. Kids would have to accomplish all the tasks of daily living such as cooking etc. and I believe they are trying to present it like "will this turn into Lord of the Flies?" It wasn't clear if they also had to do 'money earning' type work tasks or were given supplies, but supposedly they had to work all day - so it sounds like they didn't have well-stocked refrigerators. Four kids were hospitalized for drinking bleach, and several other incidents also arose. The show probably violated labor laws

OMG!

I went to the links and it made me sick! I thought I'd heard everything, but this guy is twisted.

Will CBS stop at nothing for the sake of entertainment?

First they dis American Indians on survivor, then they separate people by race, then they lock up those poor women with this arrogant misogynist and now they're endangering children for entertainment.

America needs to say no to this. There has to be some limits on what these shows will do to people to get them to compete for money! Where have all our values gone?

I am so over reality television.

I also noticed on some of the youtube videos that the producers are maniuplating reality and pressuring the game players to say what they want them to say. Pretty low if you ask me!

I'm not defending the content of his tirades, but they both signed up WILLINGLY to be on a reality show to play a game. A GAME. One based largely on psychological warfare and tactics. And you all are whining about how someone plays it?

The object of the game is to win money. No more, no less.

Women have used their sexuality and flirtation to get by endorsing the subjugated stereotypes forced on them by patriarchy.

Men have done the same.

The show has played itself along race lines, class lines, and perpetually engineered personality clashes within the show for its "entertainment value" and put together a premise based on isolationism, so that we can watch a human experiment version of rats in a maze?

And yet, "Evil Dick" is just too damn much?

Get a grip.

For those of you watching just the TV show and not the feeds, you aren't getting the real story. Dick isn't doing this for "strategy" or to save his darling little princess. He abuses people for FUN. He talks about wanting to rape someone anally until they bleed to death, then rape their corpses. He does this when they're around AND when they're not (so, vile aside, how the hell is THAT strategy, eh? Try and rationalize that crap!) And what the producers of this sick little sideshow choose to show you on TV is that Cool Rocker Dad who's just "telling it like it is" and doing it all in the hopes of repairing a relationship with his darling daughter (a daughter who has admitted -- again, on the FEEDS, not the SHOW -- that he treated her and her brother just about as badly). You think Dick's just playing a game? The PRODUCERS are -- and they're playing it ON YOU if you choose to believe the crap their spoonfeeding you.

This IS a game! I dont agree with all that is going on in the house BUT...They have ALL said horrible things. How about Amber talking about all jews being greedy and having big noses? etc etc ...
IF you have watched the live feeds and NOT just the Youtube videos where they took what they want you to see and posted it. You would see a lot of things have been said in that house that a number of groups would flip out over.
And "poor Jen"? She didnt ask to be released from the house until she knew she had no chance of staying, after being put on the block and broke rules that SHE had agreed to.
So STOP with the "Poor Jen" garbage and and "EVIL, Evel Dick"
Its called Reality TV! NOT real life!

Excuse me? How could any human being think that threatening to rape someone anally until they bleed to death, then rape their corpses considered fair play?

Who raised you? Are you profoundly stupid or just evil?
It is irresponsible for people to judge from the TV shows and some YouTube clips. The index contains quotes by Dick as well as footage. To me, this is just as disgusting as Vick's dog fighting/abuse. We've see the HG's become complacent to this behavior. We have to stop what should have been stopped a long time ago. Hate in any form should never be tolerated or accepted. Period.
