Program on Stopping Kenneth Foster’s Execution
We will not be silent. Kenneth, who sits on death row for a crime he clearly did not even know about (he only drove a getaway car), will be executed on Thursday, August 30 by the state of Texas. Only Gov. Rick Perry at this point can change this by
offering clemency to this innocent and progressive man
who writes eloquently that "Silence is Approval." He has an 11-year old daughter
who lives in Oakland who has been his main advocate.
Please join us this Sunday at the BFUU Hall with members of the Campaign to end Death
Penalty remembering Alice Walker's great words "THE SECRET OF JOY IS RESISTANCE." We urge you to contact Gov. Rick Perry who is even stepping up the pace of executions from his Bush predecessor. He has never allowed clemency even when the Parole Board recommends it but we must do everything to stop this injustice in a long line of atrocities the state carries out in our name.
Gov. Rick Perry/ State House Austin Tx can be called
on these Opinion Hotlines: 1-800-252-9600 or 1-800-843-5789
or 512-463-1782 or 512-463-2000, FAX 512-463-1849
Sponsored by the BFUU Social Justice Ctee
