Speeches by Huey P. Newton from Prison
Newton, along with Bobby Seale, organized the Black Panther Party for Self Defense in October 1966. After two years of vigorous organizing, Newton was accused of murdering a police officer, convicted in September 1968 of "voluntary manslaughter", and sentenced from 2 to 15 years in prison. During his time in prison, he never stopped organizing, and these speeches reveal that.
Discussion to follow film.
$5 donation.
