"The Daily Show" co-creator and Air America co-founder Lizz Winstead is appearing in San Francisco from August 23-25.
As a co-creator and former head writer of Comedy Central's The Daily Show, and former Executive Vice President of Air America Radio; WINSTEAD has emerged as a powerful writer and producer. Her efforts have been recognized in Entertainment Weekly's 100 Most Creative People issue.
As a performer, WINSTEAD brought her political wit to The Daily Show as a Correspondent and later to the radio waves co-hosting Unfiltered, Air America Radio's mid morning show with citizen of the world and Hip Hop legend CHUCK D, and political big brain RACHEL MADDOW.
But it all started for WINSTEAD in the Comedy Clubs across the country. WINSTEAD was nominated Best Female Club Performer by The American Comedy Awards and has appeared numerous times on television including HBO's Women of the Night, Comedy Central Presents... and every one of those basic cable stand-up shows that polluted the airwaves in the 1990's.
Currently she is a contributor to The Huffington Post, and is writing TV shows and working on a book of humorous essays about life and politics.
She appears at San Francisco's famed Punchline comedy club on Thursday, 8/23 at 8 PM, and on Friday, 8/24 and Saturday 8/25 at both 8 and 10 PM.
