Daughters of the Goddess
In the beginning there was Isis, Oldest of the Old. She was the Goddess from whom all becoming arose. ~The Woman’s Encyclopedia of Myths and Secrets
Isis/Auset, Giver of Life, the One Who is All, invites us to Her birthday celebration and Festival of Lights. From The Woman’s Encyclopedia of Myths and Secrets: Isis was the Egyptian throne. Pharoahs sat on Her lap, protected by Her arms or wings. The symbol She carried on Her crown was the foundation of the throne, which also represented Her alter ego Maat, the motherhood-principle called Right, Justice, Truth, or the All-seeing Eye. An Egyptian hymn was copied into the Bible: Right and justice are the foundation of thy throne (Psalms 89:14).
We will be claiming our Queenship on the Throne of Isis. Are you ready to step into your personal power? What are you ready to lay claim to in your life?
Please bring a blue or yellow candle as well as images of Isis/Auset for the altar. Please also bring a flower as an offering to Isis/Auset and a crown, preferably made from nature with your own hands. Isis loves bells, so if you have one, please bring it.
Daughters of the Goddess is a Dianic womyn-only Goddess Temple dedicated to honoring Multicultural Goddesses through rituals and celebrating ceremonies of Womyn's Mysteries in the Spirit of Aloha. We generally have two rituals a month and are always looking for new womyn who feel the call of the Goddess. For more information, ritual calendar and newsletter check out our website
