Lennar BVHP LLC thinks nothing of polluting neighborhoods outside Parcel A with toxic dust

by Francisco Da Costa
Hundreds of trucks laden with the most toxic dirt have been rumbling through neighborhoods outside Parcel A with Regulatory Agencies looking the other way. Hundreds of complaints about dust pollution and noise have been reported by the neighbors but the Regulatory Agencies keep looking the other way. All the while Mayor Gavin Newsom proclaims that our City boast having the Precautionary Principle on our books and that we are a Green City.
It all started over a year and a half ago when over 400 mature trees were clear cut on Parcel A with no permits.

Then, after a few months the grading began. Hundreds of trucks laden with toxic dust kept rumbling through the streets. Innes, Cargo, Palou and other streets were heavily plied with trucks moving toxic dirt and most of them uncovered.

Even the Whites who use to praise Sophie Maxwell on Innes Street began to complain.

Sophie could not do much - she is and was on the take - Sophie waited and waited and thought the problem would go away. She really knows how to shaft her constituents. Enough is enough.

But, weeks turned to months and to years - and the problem is there - only this time the tarp covers the toxic dirt and the truck are diverted on those streets with the least complaints.

While some of the Asbestos dust and other soil made it out of Parcel A - the workers swear that in parts of both Parcel East and West - tons of soil mixed with crushed Ultramaphic Serpentine Rock have been buried.

San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) with dumb Susan Leal as the head, the Department of Public Works following the cue from Mayor Gavin Newsom and the resigned Marcia Rosen and Jessie Blout have been placing the basic Infrastructure polluted with Asbestos Dust.

Rain and drain storms carry dangerous toxic dirt to the Bay and of course the City and County of San Francisco does not care if the watershed is polluted. There is so much vain talk about doing this and that right - but Lennar BVHP LLC has done most of what is does - wrong.

It is one thing to talk about the Precautionary Principle and being a Green City. Lennar BVHP LLC in one clean sweep has made a mockery of the City and County of San Francisco. Where are all the so called Environmentalists? Where are all the experts that purport to know what they are talking about?

In the interim Lennar BVHP LLC has adversely impacted a very large pollution in San Francisco and beyond. Thousands of people all over San Francisco and beyond have been exposed to toxic dust.

The Disposition and Development Agreement with a precise Dust Mitigation Plan was ignored. The precise language in Article 31 of the SF Health Department has been trashed and thrown into the waste paper basket.

There is a lot of talk and no one is walking the walk - Mayor Gavin Newsom, Jessie Blout, Marcia Rosen, Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein - all know what is happening but look the other way.

In the mean time Lennar BVHP LLC is taking a licking - I hear people are being fired, others who are on the pay roll do not know if they will be there working the next week, the Lennar Corporation Stocks are down - just check LEN.
