Tell Your California Legislator to Support SB840 for Single Payer Healthcare
The outstanding movie, Sicko, on the crisis in the US medical system, raises the issue once again this year in California, as with last year, does the state legislature have enough votes to pass SB840 for singlepayer healthcare and override Nazi Schwarzenegger's veto? It will if you tell your California assemblyperson and senator to co-sponsor SB840.

The current co-sponsors may be found at:

If you do not see your assemblyperson or state senator on that list, please call or write them. You may find their contact information by typing your ZIP code at:
http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/yourleg.html
You can also see who supported SB840 in the June 2006 primary at

To those who voted for Nazi Schwarzenegger for Governor in 2006, who vetoed SB840 last year, including the 72,000 San Franciscans (which has only 45,000 registered Republicans), you can make amends by calling as many legislators as you can to sponsor SB840. If you did not like the Democratic candidate for governor, you should have voted Peace & Freedom or Green, both of which parties are for single payer healthcare and have candidates listed above.
