ISRAEL OFFERS INCENTIVES TO IRANIAN JEWS TO IMMIGRATE

GAZA, July 8 (NNN-KUNA) -- Israeli authorities have been exerting efforts to encourage Iranian Jews to immigrate to Israel, an Israeli newspaper said in a report published on Sunday.
"Ma'ariv" said the Tel Aviv authorities were trying to encourage 20,000 Jews in Iran to settle in Israel with financial incentives.

The Israeli Government offers 5,000 US dollars to any Iranian Jew who may choose to live in Israel.

Donors also pay USD 10,000 to an Iranian Jewish family that comes to Israel for permanent living.

Thousands of Jews from around the globe, including Russia, the United States and some European countries, have immigrated to Israel since its proclamation in 1948.

Resistance only way of victory for Palestinians: Rafsanjani

Chairman of Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani received Hamas Headquarter Commander Emud al-Elmi here Saturday afternoon.

In the meeting, Rafsanjani said, "Islamic resistance is the only way for liberation of Palestine and freedom of the Islamic territories,"

He added, "Islamic Republic of Iran supports the Palestinians politically and ideologically to achieve their rights."

Ayatollah Rafsanjani said, "The religious beliefs of Hamas movement is a great asset for continuation of its way" adding, "The fact that Hamas moves and struggles on the basis of Islamic thoughts, is the secret of its success."

EC chairman said, "Conflicts among Palestinian groups is what the Zionists want," adding, "Islamic Republic of Iran hopes that unity and brotherhood can be returned among Palestinian groups again." Ayatollah Rafsanjani underlined that the Western countries do not want to help the Palestinian government and their policy, along with the Zionist regime, is based on weakening the Palestinians.

Emud al-Elmi, who is in charge of Hamas domestic affairs too, said, "Unity and understanding in Palestine is our desire, too," adding, "Establishment of a national unity government is a principle for Hamas and we are seeking a united government in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank."
He said, "Hamas does not want to separate Gaza Strip and the West Bank and we want negotiation and understanding based on our past agreements."

The Zionist regime's news sources have admitted that the Zionist organizations' efforts to persuade Iranian Jews to immigrate to the occupied territory has had no result and the Iranian Jews prefer to live in Iran.

Zionist regime daily "Ma'ariv" has written in this concern that the Jews Immigration Organizations in the Zionist settled areas of the 1948 occupied Palestine has decided to pay tens of thousands of dollars to the Iranian Jewish families to persuade them for immigration while other immigrant Jews have not enjoyed such incentives.

The daily wrote, "The Zionist agencies allocated assistance for Iranian Jews willing to immigrate to Israel but they prefer to stay in Iran. The assistance includes free education at universities and large amounts of loan to buy houses, cars and other home appliances."

Ma'ariv said, "Israeli officials are trying to persuade Iranian Jews to immigrate there at any cost."

Iranian Jewish community on Tuesday refuted Israeli offer for the Jews to go to the occupied Palestinian territories in return for money.

Leaders of the Iranian Jewish Community, Siamak Marreh-Sedgh and Member of Parliament from the Jewish society Morris Mo'tamed said in a strongly worded statement that Iranian Jewish citizens will never exchange their identity with money.

The western media had reported that Israel offered dlrs 60,000 reward for attracting Iranian Jewish families to the occupied lands of Palestine.

But Iranian Jewish people do not show any interest in immigration to the occupied territories of Palestine for the reason of enjoying full religious freedom in Iran.

Recently an Israeli agency reported a fall in level of Jewish immigration to the occupied territories of Palestine.

The statement said that Iranian Jews are of the oldest Iranians and love their pure culture and Iranian identity.

They also noted that political threats or bribing never have been successful in changing the identity of the Iranian Jews.

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki here on Wednesday dismissed the Zionist regime's invitation to the Iranian Jews to leave their homeland for the occupied territories.



"Iranian Jews are among the active communities in Iran and such temptations of the Zionist regime cannot influence them," Mottaki told reporters during a ceremony to mark issuance of biometric passports by his ministry.
