Friday, July 6, 2007 : Legislation Would Help Fix Weaknesses in America’s Long-Term Care System Washington, DC-- On Tuesday, July 11, home care workers will urge the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee to pass legislation establishing a national insurance program for adults who might become functionally disabled or currently have severe impairments and need affordable long-term care.

Dozens of SEIU Healthcare members from across the country are expected to attend the hearing to support the need for health care reform.
