The march was presided over by State Senator Gilbert Cedillo and directors of Hermandad Mexicana, Latino Movement USA and Confederación de Federaciones Mexicanas, the main organizers of the event. One Salvadoran woman who is a U.S. citizen told La Opinión that she supports legalization for Latino immigrants. Holding up signs that read, "Legalization now" and "End the Raids," the demonstrators marched from Hollywood to the CNN building on Sunset Blvd., to protest the Lou Dobbs Show and its anti-immigrant positions. La Opinión reports that the march included nearly 2,000 people, although the Los Angeles Police Department reported that there were only 1,100 protesters. Read More
