BACKGROUND: On June 21st, the San Jose City Council will be hearing reports from various agencies on police issues in San Jose. The Independent Police Auditor will be recommending more civilian oversight, and the SJPD will be telling the council that there are no issues with the police and the community. Community groups will be releasing their own report on police issues right before council meeting.

WHEN: 5:15PM ON THURSDAY JUNE 21,2007 (THE COUNCIL MTG. STARTS AT 6PM, WHEN COMMUNITY MEMBERS WILL PACK THE CHAMBERS)
