Sac Code Pink's next meeting will be held on June 21 at 7 p.m. at Butch-N-Nellies Coffee Co., located at 1827 I Street, Sacramento, CA 95816.

We're a small group of women and men who want to stop the war in Iraq, Afghanistan and to end occupations worldwide. We want to stop new wars, and redirect our resources into healthcare, education and other life-affirming activities.

To this end, women have put their lives on the line with hunger strikes and have been subjected to death threats. Some of these and others have camped out in front of Pelosi's house in SF, have crashed political campaign fundraisers, while others have handed out pink flowers for peace.

Code Pink Sacramento celebrated Mother's Day 2006 with a
gathering at the Vietnam Memorial on the Capitol grounds - 15th
Street between L and N. The theme: "Peace to Every Mother's Child."

In addition, SCP has been sponsored many of the 16th and Broadway demonstrations organized by Stephen and Virginia Pearcy and also their march to Rep. Doris Matsui's house to demand that she make no more concessions to the Iraq war spending bill.
