Originally from Santa Rosa, nationally touring Singer/Songwriter Emily Kurn has been turning heads wherever she goes. And it isn’t just her poetry or her sense of humor or her singing voice. It is her innate sense of words and music. It is the fact that at 28 years old, she has already accumulated over 20 years of experience as a performer. You haven’t heard her music until you’ve heard her music. She doesn’t sound like anyone else. And there couldn’t possibly be any other singer/songwriter who is more at home onstage than she is. Emily’s music has received a bevy of awards and praise and her previous releases have received glowing reviews from numerous publications. Afer three years of hiding out in the Chugach Mountains of Southcentral Alaska, Emily has graced the “lower 48” once again with a full time tour schedule. You may not have heard of her yet, but as a finalist in this year’s Kerrville New Folk Contest and a new album scheduled for release this coming fall, Emily won’t be a stranger for long. $15 Donation
