Vice Chancellor for Research Beth Burnside and LBNL Director Steve Chu invite you to attend a three-hour informational forum on the Energy Biosciences Institute (EBI). The forum will be open to the campus and lab communities.
Researchers involved in crafting the EBI proposal, including Steve Chu, Jay Keasling and Chris Somerville, will present an overview of the institute and its scientific program, and the audience will be invited to participate in a Q&A in the last hour. For more information on EBI, please visit the institute's web site, http://www.ebiweb.org/.
The principles that guided the development of the EBI proposal and will guide negotiation of the agreement are described at the following url http://www.ucop.edu/ott/genresources/082699a.html.
The forum is set for Monday, March 19, 3-6 p.m. in 145 Dwinelle Hall.
