Breaking News: Two New Attacks from Anti-LGBT Extremists
Equality California learned today of two separate attacks on our community, and we need your
help.
help.
EQUALITY CALIFORNIA
May 1, 2006
Earlier today in Sacramento, a group calling itself VoteYesMarriage.com filed a proposal with
the Attorney General's office proposing a ballot initiative (view at
http://www.kintera.org/TR.asp?ID=M726335735700688345468365) that would ask voters in California
to amend the state constitution to ban marriage for same-sex couples.
The initiative process takes time, but EQCA will daily monitor this latest attempt to take away
our basic rights and freedoms and make sure our community and our allies are prepared to stop
it.
In another assault this week, the Capitol Resource Institute launched an aggressive campaign
against EQCA-sponsored legislation to protect youth in schools. CRI is going after LGBT youth by
trying to stop the Student Civil Rights Act, which would ensure that all students have a safe
place to grow and learn.
EQCA needs your immediate support to stop these attacks. Unless we can match the power of our
opponents, our work will always be an uphill struggle and we will risk the loss of our freedoms.
All Californians should have the ability to marry the person they love, and all California
students should be protected in our schools.

It is critical that you send in a donation of $25, $50, $100, $500, or $1,000 today so that we
can continue to fight for all LGBT Californians. The only thing that is going to stop the right
wing is your vigorous involvement and generous financial support.

Wake up, those folks and groups who hate LGBT people are not gonna stop until you face them with violence. All this talk is not going to stop religious fundamentalists. They know we won't physically fight them so they continue with their assault on the LGBT community. To stop them we the people need to get out on the streets and protest protest protest, and then we need to show that we can and will revert to plain ole American violence. This country is behind the times because your so-called diplomacy is not getting the job done.(period)
It's time people. Don't be scared, but realize some people will be sacrificed.
America wasn't founded by writing to senators, and the congress. It was founded because we picked up arms and told that ugly queeen to kiss our asses. We need to pick up arms and tell those religious extremists to kiss our bullets.

well, watch out. That approach really depends on how it plays in the media.
I've been wondering why this hasn't been more well advertised: http://blog.wired.com/27bstroke6/2007/04/ied_found_outsi.html
