"Justice for Genocide
in Guatemala"
The Association for Truth and Justice continues to lead efforts to bring former military leaders, including former dictator Gen. Ríos Montt, to justice. Simultaneous legal proceedings in Guatemala and Spain are seeking to hold former military leaders accountable for genocide and other gross human rights abuses in the 1980s. Emilio Tojín, a leader from the Association for Justice and Reconciliation, is a K'iche' Maya from Guatemala. Co-sponsored by the Departments of Ethnic Studies, Native American Studies, Chicano/Latino Studies and Anthropology. Tuesday, April 24,
4:00 pm
