CSUS Peace Rally Features Iraq, Vietnam
Veterans; ‘Tax Day Action' Will Protest
the War and Occupation of Iraq
SACRAMENTO – Veterans from the Iraq and Vietnam wars will headline a major
Peace Rally scheduled at California State University, Sacramento Tuesday, from
11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Serna Plaza (behind the Student Union).
Among those attending will be community organizations throughout Sacramento
involved in trying to end the war in Iraq, according to sponsor CSUS
Progressive Alliance.
Also, Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., there will be a "tax day action" at
the Broadway Post Office, 22nd & Broadway, to protest the paying of taxes
that go to fund the multi-billion-dollar war in Iraq. It's sponsored by
Women's International League for Peace and Freedom and Peace Action.
