Mon., April 16 , 5 PM – 7p.m. Rally in support of all immigrants – San Rafael 4 St. Plaza (Between Bank of America and Cold Stones)Gather @ 5 PM, with signs, information, music and get networked with past, present and future pro-immigrant event organizers. Rally will be a lead-up to BIG BIG May 1st March. The recent I.C.E. raids have had a widespread affect on people in our communities and in our schools, including College of Marin. Due to the seriousness of these events, I feel now is the time to again stand up and let our communities and Government know that we support our immigrant neighbors and fellow students. At College of Marin, the I.C.E raids have had a widespread affect on our students. Attendance of Latino students went down because of Marin ICE raids and false rumors that I.C.E was on our campus. If we, as citizens stand up for our neighbors in a peaceful manor, it will make the immigrants feel more comfortable here, and let our Government know that we, as the citizens of this Country, stand behind the immigrants and support them as our friends, neighbors, and community members. I look to bring together organizations and their constituents, as well as the people of our community to bond and stand up for our neighbors and to further our strategies in dealing with these unjust and intimidating tactics used by the terrorist ICE agents. When we come together as a community and strengthen our communication, thoughts and actions with one another, we create a safe environment for all of us to enjoy and live in.
