son's death Wednesday with appearance
in Sacramento; Anti-war film to be previewed
SACRAMENTO – Anti-war mom Cindy Sheehan - on the third anniversary of her
son's death in Iraq – will participate in a special presentation about the
war WEDNESDAY, at 7 p.m. at the Coloma Center Auditorium (4623 T St.)
Hundreds of Sacramentans are expected to turn out.
Cindy Sheehan will be joined by Norman Solomon, a nationally syndicated
columnist on media and politics, and author of "War Made Easy: How
Presidents and Pundits Keep Spinning Us to Death." A preview of a
documentary "War Made Easy" will be shown.
Cindy Sheehan, whose son Casey died on March 4, 2004, is co-founder and
president of Gold Star Families for Peace and The Camp Casey Peace Institute.
The Sacramento appearance by Cindy and Norman Solomon will kick off a
statewide barnstorming trip by the Progressive Democrats of America's
"Mobilize the Progressive Vote" tour, which will end at the state
Democratic Party Convention in San Diego April 27-29.
