Imperyalismo, Ibagsak! US Imperialist, No. 1 Terrorist!

Militant greetings, brothers and sisters! Alliance for a Just and Lasting Peace in the Philippines (AJLPP) supports and salutes the Iraqi people’s courageous struggle for life, liberation and national sovereignty! We denounce the US war and occupation of Iraq, Palestine, the Philippines and everywhere!

Filipinos know there is a war right here in the US in the form of low wages, lack of health care, education cuts, deportations and scapegoating of immigrants. We know that US wars of plunder and occupation choke our nations’ development and force us to migrate in search of jobs. WE ARE HERE BECAUSE US IMPERIALISTS ARE THERE, DESTROYING OUR HOMELAND!

Most Filipino migrants are women. Third World women are imported to countries with US troops, to serve as rest and recreation. The presence of troops in Iraq, the Philippines and everywhere have caused an increase in rape, prostitution and sex trafficking. We refuse to continue to be exploited for the war on terror!

Anti-Terror laws in the Philippines have distorted expressions of freedom and dissent as “terrorist acts.” Peace negotiators, patriots and freedom fighters are labeled as “terrorists.” The recent arrest of progressive partylist Rep. Satur Ocampo, the continued incarceration of Rep. Crispin Beltran, and the impending arrest of Rep. Liza Maza are blatant examples of repression of legitimate opposition.

The US War OF Terror has sent the US military back to the Philippines, which has caused more than 840 political killings, 200 activists missing, and human rights violations against progressive leaders.

We say to Bush and his ally Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo: THE BLOOD OF THE FILIPINO PEOPLE IS ON YOUR HANDS!

The Alliance for a Just and Lasting Peace in the Philippines supports progressive and pro-people partylist representatives like the Kabataan Partylist in the upcoming elections in the Philippines!

We will militantly march forth to continue our people’s resistance and stand with the people of Iraq to bring down US imperialism!

US Out of Iraq, the Philippines, and Everywhere!

Long Live the People of Iraq! Long Live International Solidarity!

US Imperialist, No. 1 Terrorist!
