This is the second in a six-week film and lecture series on Middle East events. "Nonviolent Resistance to the 2006 Israeli Invasion of Lebanon" with Dr. Paul Larudee. $5-$10 suggested donation (sliding-scale; no one turned away for lack of funds).
Larudee, former Fulbright-Hays lecturer to Lebanon and contracted U.S. government adviser to Saudi Arabia, volunteered with the International Solidarity Movement in the West Bank and with Lebanon Solidarity in Lebanon. After detention and being denied entry to Israel in June, 2006, Larudee spoke in Lebanon and Jordan on international solidarity with the Palestinian nonviolent resistance movement and later participated in the nonviolent resistance movement and solidarity actions and witnessed and documented events in Lebanon. Larudee will show video and photo documentation of the destruction in Lebanon, including interviews with Lebanese citizens who remained during the invasion.
Proceeds will benefit the International Solidarity Movement.
